Strength training

Young age and weight training

How is it with the gym and the statement that: “You must not exercise at a young age because you will not grow”…. The gym is advisable and learning the RIGHT movement patterns. The problem is that at the age of 14 and around where we go through puberty, the human body has 356 bones that knit together(shafts with epiphyses) and an adult has 206.
Therefore, pounding heavy weights, compression on the spine and joints, causes the myth that youngsters can’t exercise in the gym because they won’t grow. They won’t grow, like overdoing it. Because the muscular system can handle it….. Unfortunately tendons ligaments and bones no longer. As you can see a myth, but partly true.
